Donations are used to fund projects at:

  • The Dr. Léon-Richard Oncology Centre ;
  • The Mgr. Henri-Cormier Lodge ;
  • The satellite units in Northern New Brunswick ;
  • to support cancer research efforts ; 
  • Healthy lifestyle promotion.


Contributions to the 30th Tree of Hope Campaign are used to improve care offered at the Dr-Léon-Richard Oncology Centre and in the satellite units. Funds will also help continue research efforts and improve the comfort of patients who stay free of charge at the Mgr-Henri-Cormier Lodge in Moncton. 

This year’s projects include:

  • Improving examination rooms at the oncology centre by replacing outdated equipment;
  • Providing new, more precise radiation treatments;
  • Offering improved surgical services;
  • Purchasing equipment for laboratory services to complement the Mohs surgery project for treating skin cancers that was realized in 2017;
  • Purchasing hospital standard mattresses for the Mgr. Henri-Cormier lodge (designed for infection prevention and enhanced patient comfort);
  • Continuing to install comfort-enhancing equipment in satellite units (treatment chairs and vein viewers), as well as computer equipment for patient files;
  • Supporting cancer research.
